Dr Lynne Jordan is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with Health Care & Professions Council (HCPC).She is a Registered Clinical Supervisor with BPS and is active in mentoring and supporting people develop their clinical practice.

A registered psychologist with BUPA, Axa PPP, Aviva, Pru Health, Cigna and Standard Life,Beneden, WPA health insurance companies, Lynne has worked as a therapist for over thirty years in statutory mental health services, voluntary and private sectors both face to face and via the telephone. She has a proactive approach to assist people improving their quality of life and sense of well-being. Some people are looking for very brief input and some longer and either can be accommodated for.

Dr Lynne is experienced in a wide variety of clinical areas including the issues listed on this page with both complex and one-off trauma. She has an evidence based practice developed over many years in this field. She also has advanced training in EMDR which is an additional technique useful in processing and coming to terms with trauma, chronic anxiety and in situations where there has been a traumatic bereavement or other loss.

Her experience includes working with children in foster care and the families and pioneering and co-ordinating a specialist service for 8 years within NHS adult mental health for survivors of sexual abuse. She has worked via Harley Street and NHS for many years. She works across the whole spectrum of trauma from one-off environmental traumas to fall out from complex relational trauma extending over many years. She also works as a consultant advisor to various agencies.

Lynne has a passion for facilitating improvement in people's well-being and quality of life, and so in clinical practice she has a broad background from working with complex trauma / deeply distressing life events to improving coping strategies to deal with day to day stresses and strains of work and home life and many aspects of life in between.

She is also available for clinical supervision or personal therapy for trainees on the Independent Route (QCoP) to BPS Chartership as a counselling psychologist and also offers personal therapy or supervision for those on doctoral course route programmes in training as Counselling Psychologists.

She has worked previously as an examiner and moderator and been a member of the Board of Assessors at BPS. She was also Press Officer for a couple of years with BPS. She has been a Visiting Lecturer at several Universities from undergraduate and @ doctoral level and has worked as an Associate Lecturer with the Open University.
